
Lyric tenor Bo Wang graduated in 2011 gaining a distinction in his second Masters degree in solo performance and awarded The John Cameron Prize for Lieder at the Royal Northern College of Music. He was supported with a full scholarship from the ABRSM. Bo is currently studying with Ryland Davies. Whilst at the Royal Northern College of Music he was mentored by Peter Wilson. Bo has also received mentoring at master classes and coaching from Barbara Bonney, Emma Kirkby, Sarah Walker, Dina Winter, Ann Murray, Pat MacMahon, Emanuele Moris, Isobel Flinn, Julius Drake and Paul Griffiths. Bo is a member of English National Opera extra chorus ,Garsington Opera chorus 2013 & 2014, Opera Holland Park chorus 2015 & 2016 and Opera Rara chorus at the BBC Proms ( Semiramide ,2016 ) . Bo has also been given the Gil Rodriguez Scholarship Award 2016.
His Bachelor degree in Musicology was from Beijing Normal University in 2005 with Xiao Yan followed by his first Masters degree in 2008 with Tong Jun having achieved the highest mark in his year. During his time there he won numerous scholarships and was also the winner of many national and international competitions, most notably the Fifth Singapore International Music and Dance Competition, in which he won a gold medal (2007).
